#Monday Motivation | What is Your Motivation?
Last night, I received a very interesting email that made me put a few things into perspective. It is important to note that this is not always a bad thing. As I lay my head down for the night, my thoughts boiled down to one question. What is your motivation?
What is driving you to do and act the way you do?
Why are you working at your current Job? Is it to pay bills, gain experience or because you generally like what you do?
Example: Why am I blogging? Is it because I like to write? Share my thoughts and ideas? Or is this just a creative exercise? Who knows.
The next you would want to think about - Is this motivation valid? Does it make sense? Should that be my only motivation?
Example: If you want to start going to the gym is your motivation living a healthy life or just to post #Gymlife selfies?
Knowing what motivates you also makes you think about what your true goals are, how you want to achieve them and it’s true worth, at the end of the day. I have worked some of the most random jobs because my motivation was money. I made money but I was not happy and my health suffered for it. When I realized that the motivation of more money was not worth my health, I quit. My next job was chosen because it afforded me a healthier life (physically and socially). I’m not stupid, becuase of course it paid more but money was not the number one reason I took the job.
If you don’t know what motivates you? I would find the time to learn. The answer could surprise you.
Hopefully I got you thinking so now, I leave you with a slew of good quotes to take you through the week…
